We warrant you that all products sold are free from manufacturing faults and defects for a period of 12 months from the date of original delivery. Warranties cover quality of materials and workmanship. In the event that a product is proven to be defective, you are entitled to the restoration of the goods through repair or replacement, whichever is decided as being the most efficient and effective remedy.


SKM Furniture warrants to you, the original retail purchaser, for a period of one year from the date of purchase, all leather to be free from defects in materials and workmanship, seam slippage, cracking, and dye transfers. Some variations of shade and tone are to be expected as are the nicks, scratches, and wrinkles that only occur in genuine leather; these characteristics are in no way to be considered a defect.


SKM furniture warrants to you, the original retail purchaser, for a period of one year from the date of purchase, all upholstered fabrics against seam slippage, fraying, and dye transfers. This warranty does not cover tears, flattening of nap, pilling, fading, or shrinking and is not valid when heavy soiling or abuse is evident. This warranty also does not cover protective finishes, velvets, velvet types, and Orlon, since by their very nature, these fabrics are of soft texture and will crush, shade and mark more readily than most fabrics; these characteristics are in no way to be considered a defect.

All Other Furniture Products

All finishes and other parts, components, and other furniture products not specifically included in the above Limited Warranties, including but not limited to dining room tables, chairs, occasional tables, beds, dressers, marble tops, granite tops, desks, curio cabinets, china cabinets, buffets, entertainment centers, lamps, electrical components, recliner pull cords and handles incorporated into any furniture product, are warranted by SKM Furniture, to you, the original retail purchaser, for one year from the date of purchase, to be free from material manufacturing defects.

Limitation and Exceptions

Under these Limited Warranties, the sole liability of SKM Furniture, is limited to repair, or at its option, replacement. SKM Furnirue will pay, within one year from the date of purchase, reasonable and customary labor rates to repair or replace the defective parts. But, shipping costs from the retailer to and from SKM Furniture must be borne by retail purchaser.

These Limited Warranties do not apply to rented, business, commercial, institutional, or other non-residential uses.

These Limited Warranties do not cover damages or defects caused by use of chemical treatments or protective coatings on the finish, leather, or upholstered fabric; and any such chemical treatments or protective coatings voids all warranties

The Limited Warranties on “Leather”, “Fabric” and “All Other Furniture Products” do not cover

(i) Damages resulting from excessive soiling, improper or unapproved cleaning methods,
(ii) Changes caused by normal wear and tear
(iii) Any damage due to an accident or force
(iv) Any breakage caused by negligent and/or improper use of the goods
(v) Products which have not been maintained (for example, leather or timber care), or which have been modified.
(vi) Insignificant minor variations in dimensions, colour, grain or finish; and Very minor chips or superficial blemishes
(vii) Any damage caused by lack of and/or erroneous maintenance
(viii) Degradation of finish caused by environmental factors including exposure to sunlight, household humidity.
(ix) Damage arising from abnormal use, or abuse
(x) Damage to packaging only;

Note: slight variations between the corresponding images shown on our website and the product itself are caused by different devices and do not give rise to full refunds, replacement, partial refund or store credit unless the variation is sufficiently significant that it alters the appearance or functionality of the item ordered.

Warranty Claims
If you have a Warranty Claim, please complete our online form which you can find on our website here and you will be contacted by a member of our Customer Service team within 48 Hours.
Claim resolution:

If the fault or damage is unlikely to be repeated in a replacement product we will send you an identical replacement as soon as possible. Please note that we may require the return of the faulty product prior to sending a replacement. Customer will be responsible for the freight cost to and from SKM Furniture warehouse.

Our guarantees and warranties do not exclude any protections you have under Australian Consumer Law. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Warranty FAQs

There are some reasonable requests that we ask you to consider:

1. Self Maintenance: If a superficial mark on a product can be removed by cleaning agents the customer will be required to attempt such solutions and will be compensated with a partial refund or store credit appropriate for the circumstances.

2. Damaged Packaging: Damage to the packaging of the product does not constitute damage to the product itself and is not covered by any warranty and does not give rise to any compensation.
